What our products are made of

Our beads are made from low-density polyethylene (LDPE) — the same material used for standard fuse beads worldwide. They're solid colour throughout, not surface-coated, so colour doesn't flake off with handling.

  • Beads: LDPE, 5mm standard size, fade-resistant pigment
  • Pegboards: transparent polystyrene (PS), reusable
  • Ironing paper: heat-resistant, reusable
  • Tweezers: stainless steel

Age guidance

  • Recommended for ages 6 and up.
  • Not suitable for children under 3 — small parts, choking hazard.
  • Adult supervision required during the ironing step. The iron and freshly fused beads are hot.

Using the ironing step safely

  1. Always lay ironing paper between the iron and the beads — never iron beads directly.
  2. Use medium heat, no steam.
  3. Let the piece cool flat for a minute before peeling it off the board.
  4. Keep the iron away from children and never leave it unattended while hot.
  5. Work in a ventilated room and don't overheat — if the beads start to gloss over, you've gone too far.

    6. Care and storage

    Store beads away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the lid on the storage tray — it stops colours mixing and keeps dust out.
